The girls basketball season has kicked off with a bang. We wanted to get more information and talk to a main player. Amira Williams. So we set up an interview with her.
The first question we asked was ‘What made you start playing basketball?’ She answered “I’ve always been super competitive and I guess in like third grade that’s what was cool”
Next we asked ‘What were your steps to getting on varsity?’ To which she replied “I worked really hard in middle school, on the middle school team and then I worked really hard in practice and made the varsity team my eighth grade year”
When asked ‘What are your goals this season?’ She said “Get better, have fun, and have a home section game”
One question we were really curious about was ‘In your opinion how has the season been going and what are your predictions on how it will end?’ Her answer was “The season has been going really well and I think it’s going to end even better. We don’t have any seniors so that’s really cool for us and the end will get us going for the next year.”
Lastly, we asked if she had any words of encouragement or advice for future basketball players, and she responded with “Work hard and take time to perfect your craft I guess.”
