Today, September 30th at the faribault high school, was the second day of homecoming week. With that came the annual Powder Buff volleyball tournament. This game shows competitiveness between grades.

The first round of this tournament was Seniors against Freshman. In the beginning Freshman were taking the lead, not afraid to dive head first for the ball, literally. Around a quarter in the Seniors caught up, still, everyone thought Freshman would win considering the score. In the end the seniors swooped in, taking the lead and winning the game.
During the second round the sophomores went up against the Juniors. Sophomores had a head start while the Juniors tried hard to catch up. The Juniors had a very rocky start but managed to tie it together in the third quarter. There started to be a back and forth. However Sophomores regained their lead and took the win.

By the third round there were the two losing teams, Freshman and Juniors. The Freshman fought their hearts out. But it wasn’t quite enough. Juniors took the lead from the beginning and held it throughout the game for their grade.

The fourth and final round included the Seniors, winning against the Freshman, and the Sophomores, winning against the Juniors. The game started with the Seniors ahead of the Sophomores. The Sophomores played a good game but in end it was the Seniors who won the tournament completely.
